As a Christian, you should have joy. Joy is a fruit of the spirit (Galatians 5:22). 

So why do so many Christians not have joy?  

1. Not in fellowship
   1. Not in fellowship with God – Psalm 63 identifies that there is joy in fellowship with God.
   2. Not in fellowship with others – 1 John 1:5-10 says, “if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.”   
2. Not Walking in the spirit – Galatians 5:16, “Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.” 

Great joy comes in Worshipping and serving our LORD.

“Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the LORD: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy.” 1 Chr 29:9
