Do You Have Hope?
When you hear a bad report from the doctor, do you accept it or do you have hope for a different outcome? When your child is arrested or involved in illegal activities, do you write them off as “good for nothing” or do you have hope? When you have been hurt deeply, do you put up walls to protect yourself and not let anyone near you, or do you have hope for someone you can trust?
We all have circumstances in our life where we have to make a decision which way we will let our mind go. Choose hope.
“For we were saved in this hope, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one hope for what he sees? But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance. Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.”
