Do you have a support structure?

As my daughter and I were in the space between the floors of our duplex, we noticed our support structure was starting to sag.   This was a huge concern since the support structure was meant to bear the load of the second floor.   

We all have support structures that we lean on when we need to be held up. What is your support structure? Friends, family, church? God promises to hold us up.  

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand,” Isaiah 41:10

Jesus is the ultimate support structure that can hold anything up.  

“Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God,  having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord,  in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.” Ephesians 2:19-22
