Do You Care What People Think?
There is a time to be concerned about what people think. I Thessalonians 5:22, states, “Abstain from all appearance of evil.” (KJV) If we are concerned about the way we represent Christ, when we are a believer in Jesus, then we should care about how we are perceived.
On the other hand, our actions should not reflect pleasing men rather than God. If we have a continuous struggle in this area, we need to pray for deliverance of the spirit of inferiority, and the root and seed of it. We need to please God, even if it costs us our physical lives.
“For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ.” Galatians 1:10 NKJV
“But as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, even so we speak, not as pleasing men, but God who tests our hearts.”
I Thessalonians 2:4 NKJV
