Do We Know the Giver?

This time of year most people think about giving. We usually receive gifts from people that we know. Very rarely do we receive an expensive gift from someone we do not know.

Some pray and ask God for “things”.  And many are disappointed because their prayers do not seem to be answered. But, we must ask ourselves, “Do we know the giver, God?”

If we do not understand who the “giver” of life, healing, and provisions is, then how can we have faith that He is capable of giving life, healing and provisions? We must know how much He loves us and wants to give us good things. When we truly “know” the giver, and that He wants us to be sons and daughters, it is easy to receive.

“And we know that God does not hear sinners; but if anyone is a worshipper of God and does His will, He hears him.”  John 9:31  NKJV

“If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!” Matthew 7:11 NKJV
