Do you find that you are constantly being distracted from praying or reading God’s word? As I was writing the first sentence of this devotional, I called my mom and as I glanced at my computer I realized I was writing a devotional on distractions and here I was distracted. Oh my.

“Let your eyes look directly forward, and your gaze be straight before you.” Proverbs 4:25

The enemy does not want us to glorify our Father in Heaven or know the truth (God’s word). We need to be diligent to keep our focus on God. Press into Him. Thanking and praising Him while you are reading His word and praying can keep the enemy restrained and your focus on what God has called you to do.

“Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.” Col 3:2

Lord, I bind all distracting spirits that are trying to take my brothers and sisters in christ away from what You have called them to do. Lord, we praise You, You are glorious, righteous, Holy and our King of Kings. I pray this in Jesus name.
