We can become discouraged and lose our way. The Lord says, “And the Lord, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.” Deut 31:8

The word dismayed means to be discouraged or to break down. The enemy wants to break you down. The Lord desires to build you up. He said to Joshua and is saying to you today, “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9
