Beware of false doctrines and those that seek after signs and not after the heart of God.
Through revelation, Peter was able to declare who Jesus is “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Mathew 16:16 and in the next instant, Jesus was rebuking him for allowing Satan to use him. “Get behind me, Satan: You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.” Mathew 16:23
To not be used by Satan, we must relinquish all to God and follow His plan. “If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross, and follow me.” Mathew 16:24
