Your desires change after a loss; this is normal.

I was an avid runner and biker.  I guess the word avid doesn’t tell the whole story.  I was an extreme runner and biker.  Logging many miles each week and driving myself to beat the weeks before achievements.  I had a passion, or many might say an obsession.

As the Lord heals and grows you in Him, those desires become overshadowed by His desires.  His will becomes yours.

I no longer have a driving force to bike or run.  I want to spend all my time with the Lord. However, occasionally, the Lord pushes me out the door and the wheels spin.

Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.  Psalm 37:4
