Depressed?

Your circumstances may have led you to feel no joy or even worse depressed. Signs of depression may include no pleasure doing what you have enjoyed in the past; feeling down; trouble sleeping; no energy; weight change (gaining or losing); feeling bad about yourself; difficulty concentrating; or worse yet, thoughts of death.

King David, a man after God’s own heart, experienced depression.

“Save me, O God! For the waters have come up to my neck. I sink in deep mire, Where there is no standing; I have come into deep waters, Where the floods overflow me. I am weary with my crying; My throat is dry; My eyes fail while I wait for my God.” Psalm 69:1-3

What did David do? He cried out to God for help. When circumstances overcome us, lift your head to God and ask for help.

“The LORD your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.” Zephania 3:17
