In the last days, deception will be on the rise. Deception starts with temptation, which may lead to sin. “Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?” Genesis 3:1
Temptation is not a sin (unrighteousness), taking Satan’s bait and consuming it is sin. He is a clever fisherman, he knows what bait will work with you.
“The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie,” 2 Thess 2:9-11
However, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9
