If we are not careful, we may depart from our faith as a result of deception.
“Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines (teachings) of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.” 1 Timothy 4:1-3
Faith or Faithfulness (NKJV says faithfulness) comes from a place of trust and loyalty. Hebrews 11:1 says, “Now faith is a confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” As a Christian, it is important to be faithful to God. It is one thing to simply believe in Him, but another to be faithful to Him.
Faith relates to the invisible. Walking according to the invisible. Faith is not a matter of intellect. It is an ongoing relationship with God. Are we faithful to His word, what He asks us to do and to living according to His word.
“Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God;” Hebrews 3:12
