Daily Cleansing

Most of us wash on a daily basis. If we do not, it is not a secret; people notice. So, what about our daily spiritual cleansing? In Ephesians 5:26, it says “that He might sanctify and cleanse her [the church] with the washing of water by the word.” So, here is a clue; reading the word of God. When we are immersed in the word it shows in our lives. When we are not, it eventually will show in our lives.

We see in I Corinthians 15:31, “I affirm, by the boasting in you which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.” Here is an example of repenting daily for not being in obedience to our Lord every minute of the day. When we keep clean, soul, body and spirit, we will be ready for His coming, “that He might present her [church] to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.” Ephesians 5:27  NKJV
