Consequences of sin

All of creation suffered because of sin, “For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of [acorruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.” Romans 8:20-21

Our sins have a far-reaching effect than just our lives; they corrupt everything that it touches.

Our bodies become corrupted as a result of sin; physical ailments surface. Sin causes sickness and deterioration; and, it does not matter whether the sin was committed by us or our forefathers.

“keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children’s children to the third and the fourth generation.” Exodus 34:7

The corruption will continue until repentance takes root. Don’t let sin be that barrier to your healing.

Take hold of what Jesus did on the cross. Father forgive them for they know not what they do (Luke 23:34). Jesus petitioned/prayed for us to be forgiven by the Father. It is by Jesus death, His shed blood that we can become forgiven. Don’t take this lightly. Jesus blood was poured out for you. By his stripes, we are healed (1 Peter 2:24).
