“See, I have set before you today life and prosperity, and death and adversity;” Deut 30:15. Choose life!
Many today feel overwhelmed, depressed, and hopeless and are considering suicide.
Even King David felt overwhelmed, “For the enemy hath persecuted my soul; he hath smitten my life down to the ground; he hath made me to dwell in darkness, as those that have been long dead. Therefore is my spirit overwhelmed within me; my heart within me is desolate.” Psalm 143:3-4
No matter what is going on in your life, suicide is not the choice you should make. I know, I was confronted with the choice. If you are considering suicide, you are not only looking at a potential physical death but also a possible spiritual death. Everything may appear overwhelming and you do not see a way forward, ask the Lord right now to help you see clearly. Cry out for help.
“Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, And He saved them out of their distresses. He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, And broke their chains in pieces. Oh, that men would give thanks to the Lord for His goodness, And for His wonderful works to the children of men! For He has broken the gates of bronze, And cut the bars of iron in two.” Psalm 107:13-16
Every morning I cried out to the Lord, “Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning, For in You do I trust;
Cause me to know the way in which I should walk, For I lift up my soul to You.” Psalm 143:8
Ask for help today, God is your help! “O God, do not be far from me; O my God, make haste to help me!” Psalm 71:12
