Can One Little Weed Hurt?
As I look at my driveway, the weeds have taken over and I can hardly see any rocks. Now I know why my late husband was putting weed killer on the rocks a couple of weeks after open heart surgery.
I tried to keep up with the weeds after he passed away, but they keep on growing. It reminds me how we can respond after experiencing tragedy. We may be tempted to have one little drink to take the “edge off”. But that one little drink, or whatever it may be to lead you to a downward spiral, can grow much more quickly than we expect. A wise person once said, “Sin will take you farther than you ever wanted to go.”
“Then it happened one evening that David arose from his bed and walked on the roof of the king’s house. And from the roof he saw a woman bathing, and the woman was very beautiful to behold.” II Samuel 11:2 NKJV
One little look turned into adultery and murder. Temptation is not sin, but how do we handle the temptation?
