If you are or have been a parent of a teenager, then you may know what rebellion looks like. Rebellion is the open resistance to obey.
“Do not harden your hearts, as in the rebellion, As in the day of trial in the wilderness,” Psalm 95:8
You may be saying this does not apply to me. Let me ask you, do you love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and mind? Do you love your neighbours as yourself? Do you have unconfessed sin or unforgiveness.
As parents, we are to be examples to our children, as Christ was to us, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. “And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.” Deut 6:5-9
“Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6
