I have been called to a short-term assignment in Tampa, FL. And just recently I have learned that there are tall people clubs down here. Now I do not qualify for these clubs. I am on the opposite end of the spectrum. So was Zacchaeus in more ways than one.
Zacchaeus was a short tax collector who was rich. He was seen as an outcast. Yet, he knew how to overcome.
“And he sought to see who Jesus was, but could not because of the crowd, for he was of short stature. So he ran ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see Him, for He was going to pass that way. And when Jesus came to the place, He looked up and saw him, and said to him, “Zacchaeus, make haste and come down, for today I must stay at your house.””Luke 19:3-5
Zacchaeus received Jesus joyfully.
“for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”Luke 19:10
