Feelings of Betrayal

You may feel betrayed and angry if you have lost a child.   It is normal to feel this way. A parent is naturally supposed to die before a child. As a result, multiple losses may be present; loss of your child’s future, dreams, wedding, or grandchildren. Guilt and questions such as, “why didn’t you take me instead God?” may be present. Be open and share your feelings with other family members.

2 Corinthians 1:5 “For as we share abundantly in Christ’s sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too.”

God not only sympathizing with you when you suffer, He also emphasizes because His son also died.
