Being good…

My family loved each other. We were taught never to hate, not judge, to love and help out our neighbor and believe in God. We thought by being moral and working hard you would get to heaven. But there seemed to be always something missing….

What we didn’t know was that “Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. John 14:6 NKJV. Another words we have to believe in Christ and ask Him to come into our hearts to have an eternal life.

We were not following the rules established by God.

All will be judged someday. We are going to enter His court and present our case. What case are you going to present? The first instance, “I was good,” Christ is going to say, that is nice but you did not follow the rules established, and like any courtroom, the judge will kick you out and throw you in prison to serve time. In this case, time is an eternity in hell.

Being good is not going to get you where you want to be.   God wants a relationship with you. He loves you so much that He showed it by sacrificing His son, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16 NKJV
