Has someone you love ever forgotten something that was very important to you? Anniversary, birthday, special occasion, etc.  This can create a deep wound.  I have, and out of the pain came a poem and healing from my Lord…

Because you forgot a soul wound was laid;

my heart ached and my head replayed.

Bitterness set in with a lie.  How could this be I cried.

My shield was there to set things straight.

His love overcame the darkness at the gate.

As the gate was opened with thanksgiving, my heart was filled with praise.

Forgiveness took the bitterness away.

“… if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”  Mark 11:25
