Battle Readiness
I remember my first morning after being inducted into the Marine Corps. Pans were banging; shouting to get out of our racks was being screamed at decibels that I didn’t know could be comprehended by the human ear; and, fear had overcome many of us of not knowing what was happening and what to expect.
Covid-19, pestilence epidemic could be perceived in the same manner.
We were commanded to follow orders. From that day forward in my life, I learned to anticipate and prepare for what may happen. As Christians, in God’s army, we are to do the same. Yet, we are not being trained to fight a fleshly battle. Our battle is in the unseen realm.
“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:12
We are to listen and obey God.
“For You have armed me with strength for the battle; You have subdued under me those who rose up against me.” Psalm 18:39
