Heart of worship

We can subject ourselves to the control of a thing or a person. It is our choice. God says, “I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live” Deut 30:19

God gives us a choice. Notice our decisions impact those we love.

When we choose not to worship God and worship something else (shopping, drugs, alcohol, smoking or various other addictions), we put ourselves into bondage to that thing.

“Misplaced worship is the heart of all bondage.”

“For we were slaves. Yet our God did not forsake us in our bondage; but He extended mercy to us …., to revive us, to repair the house of our God, to rebuild its ruins, and to give us a wall… .” Ezra 9:9

God is faithful and loves you so. Give him today what you have been holding onto and give Him the worship He deserves.

“The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, Slow to anger and great in mercy. The Lord upholds all who fall, And raises up all who are bowed down.” Psalm 145:8.14
