Are You Looking for a Promotion?

We see how Joseph, in the book of Genesis, was promoted to a position second to Pharaoh. We have to keep in mind that he was a slave when he arrived in Egypt and also had a jail record. So, how can a jailbird, slave get promoted?

“And Pharaoh said to his servants, ‘Can we find such a one as this, a man in whom is the Spirit of God?’“ Pharaoh saw that the Spirit of God in Joseph is what made him great. God brought this to Pharaoh’s attention.

“For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge; He putteth down one, and setteth up another.”          Psalms 75:6,7  KJV
