I loved the Wizard of Oz as a kid. I look at the movie today and think how odd. The lion in the movie was cowardly.

Jesus is depicted in scripture as the Lion of Judah.  The King of all.  He is far from cowardly.  We are called to be like Jesus, yet so many Christians feel inadequate and have fear.  They lack courage.  Courage means strength in the face of grief or pain.

When we understand where are strength comes from we can move forward regardless of the situation. “The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, And with my song I will praise Him.”  Psalm 28:7

“Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”  Deuteronomy 31:6
