“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” 3 John 1:2

God desires that we live a prosperous life and be in health.  Not that we are seeking health.  But that we remain in health.   Jesus died on the cross for this very purpose.  

“who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—bywhose stripes you were healed.” 1 Peter 2:24.  We are healed. It is done.

We should be living free of sickness and disease, just as we should be living free of sin.  Jesus continues to cleanse us from Sin as we are in the light and have fellowship with one another, “^“ If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.” 1 John 1:6-8

And as we live for righteousness and fear the Lord (revere and honour Him), the Lord will bring continuous healing to us, and we will be in health, “But to you who fear My name The Sun of Righteousness shall arise With healing in His wings; And you shall go out And grow fat like stall-fed calves.” Malachi 4:2
