Are You in a Losing Battle?
Sometimes it may seem we are in a “no win” situation. It doesn’t matter what you do or say, someone turns it around to make it the opposite of what you meant to say. This kind of emotional abuse can wear you down.
Psalm 57:4, describes this situation. “My soul is among lions; I lie among the sons of men who are set on fire, whose teeth are spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword.”
God provides a remedy for such circumstances in His word.
“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him…”
I Peter 5:8,9a NKJV
“Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” James 4:7,8a NKJV
“For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
Hebrews 4:12 NKJV
