The enemy is the deceiver. Do not be fooled that you can outsmart him. If you believe this, you are already deceived. The only way you can combat the enemy is to be unified with the Lord, The Lord of Heaven’s armies.
“You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You Because he trusts in You.” Isaiah 26:3 NKJV
I remember when I wasn’t a Christian yet and a neighbor was trying to bring me knowledge of Christ. She said that we need to be forgiven for our sins. I looked right at her and said, “I have never sinned.” I believed that. I was being deceived by the enemy and kept from the kingdom.
“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.” 1 John 1:8-10 NKJV
The enemies first objective is to keep you from becoming saved; if you accept Christ than he wants to prevent you from becoming effective for God; and, if all this doesn’t work, then he will attempt to get rid of you.
“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.” Many people miss the last part of this verse, what is God’s purpose, “…I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” John 10:10 NKJV
“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.”
Revelation 12:11 NKJV
