Anxiety

An unexpected event may trigger anxiety. Based on past experiences of unforeseen circumstances that did not work out well, your mind predisposes that the same will be true now, and your mind creates a story of what is going to happen. The nervous system then kicks into play to react to the fabricated result of what has not transpired. Worry, stress, anxiety and then panic come into play.

The Bible has a solution for Anxiety.

First, trust the Lord. I say to myself, Lord, I know you will make this work out right, according to your purposes, I am not going to worry about it. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6

Second, think about good things. Put your focus, not on the negative, put your focus on the Lord, “whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. (Phil 4:8).

Third, cast your cares on Him, “casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7).

Remember, “Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression, But a good word makes it glad.” Proverbs 12:25. Soak in His word daily to protect your mind, for He is your hope.
