The tongue is a powerful weapon. It can be used for good or evil. Proverbs 8:21 says, “Life and death are in the power of the tongue. I try to remember every day to pray over my mouth, “Lord, may I only speak blessings and not curses. I pray this in Jesus’ name.”

We need to load our mouths with good things.  

“Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers.” Eph 4:29

What happens when the weapon is turned on us? What should we do? “Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.” Romans 12:14
