A good word

“Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression, But a good word makes it glad.” Proverbs 12:25

When we carry anxiety, stress, worries they bring us down…. possibly into the pit of despair. Thanking, praising and being honest with God will lift you above.

There are several people in the Bible who exhibited depression and overcame.

King David, “Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him For the help of His countenance.” Psalm 42:5.

Job, “For my sighing comes before I eat, And my groanings pour out like water.” Job 3:24

Job’s heart was crushed with grief at the loss of his children and it put him in a state that he wished he was never born. “Why did I not die at birth? Why did I not perish when I came from the womb?” ‭‭Job‬ ‭3:11‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

However, we see both of these heroes of the Bible overcame and were blessed by God abundantly. They overcame when they committed their ways to God; had thankfulness and praise in their hearts; and repented and turned to see Gods goodness.

“I know that You can do everything, And that no purpose of Yours can be withheld from You.

Now the LORD blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning; for he had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, one thousand yoke of oxen, and one thousand female donkeys.” ‭‭Job‬ ‭42:2, 12‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
