This coming year, many have set many goals or resolutions. But have you set a goal for everyday living?

Like the apostle Paul, I am pushing forward no matter what comes upon me to win the prize “I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heaven ward in Christ Jesus.” 3:14

Even though I have many goals, I have one above all others: love.

“Pursue love, and desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy.” 1 cor 14:1 NKJV. The Amplified version of the Bible says we are to make love our goal.

“Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing….Love never fails.” 1 Corinthians 13:1-3, 8
