There is a four-letter word that we all need, hope!
“Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” Revelation 21:1,4
God promises us that death, sorrow, crying, and pain will be no more. We all have this hope, which gives us confidence in what tomorrow will bring. But you might be asking, what about hope for today? Do you have hope? If you are suffering, God is working to produce hope in you.
“Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.” Romans 5:1-5
Suffering produces perseverance, character, and character, hope. God is doing great work in your life. Don’t give up. Persevering means you need to push through under great resistance. Keep your focus on God, and He will take you to the next level in Him. Hope in Jesus Christ today; He is your hope.
