“For you have heard of my previous way of life in Judaism, how intensely I persecuted the church of God and tried to destroy it.” Galatians 1:13

Are we trying to subvert the purposes of God by living our way vice what Christ desires?

The religious leaders of the day tried to thwart the message of Christ because it did not suit them.

“The next day, the one after Preparation Day, the chief priests and the Pharisees went to Pilate. “Sir,” they said, “we remember that while he was still alive that deceiver said, ‘After three days I will rise again.’ So give the order for the tomb to be made secure until the third day. Otherwise, his disciples may come and steal the body and tell the people that he has been raised from the dead. This last deception will be worse than the first.” “Take a guard,” Pilate answered. “Go, make the tomb as secure as you know how.” So they went and made the tomb secure by putting a seal on the stone and posting the guard.” Mathew 27:62-66

We know the end of the story. Know one can upset the purposes of God, “I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.’ Isaiah 46:10
