Two-thirds of children by the age of 16 will experience a traumatic event. Does trauma at a young age define who they are? Many would say so. After all, trauma may bring fear, trust issues, a lack of peace, and a tormented mind.
However, God says, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Jer 29:11. I love the promise that God gives His children an expected end.
God can and will restore a trauma victim. “Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, And He delivered them out of their distresses.” Psalm 107:6
He wants to take the person out of the enemy’s hands and bring them into His righteous Kingdom. It all starts with believing and trusting God.
“Behold, I will bring it health and healing; I will heal them and reveal to them the abundance of peace and truth.” Jeremiah 33:6
