Are you prepping for the last days?
Many are preparing physically with storing up food, water, alternate shelters for the last days. However, how many Christians are preparing their spirit, soul and mind?
The Bible says peoples hearts will fail, “men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.” Luke 21:21 (NKJV)
A heart that is overcome with fear and fails is traumitized. Will you be overcome with Trauma?
Not everyone exposed to disturbing events will experience Trauma or develop Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). However, people with past exposure to high-stress events such as rape, accidents, childhood abuse or war have a higher probability of their hearts failing.
So how can you prevent trauma from becoming a stronghold in your life?
1. Prepare by renewing your mind (Romans 12:2), take every thought captive (2 Cor 10:5), and keeping your thoughts fixed on God (Isaiah 26:3).
2. Allow God to show you what is on the inside and help you to walk through the pain. “Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts, And in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom.” Psalm 51:6. Remember, God heals the brokenhearted and binds up wounds (Psalm 147:3).
3. Cleanse your heart (Psalm 51:10)
“Teach me your way, Lord, that I may rely on your faithfulness; give me an undivided heart, that I may fear your name.” Psalm 86:11
