Don’t get entangled, caught up in things of this world. Paul warned Timothy that there was going to be things in this world that may pull him away. He told his young protege to keep his focus on Jesus to fulfil his calling in Christ. God is saying the same thing to us today. Wage the good war.

“You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier.” 2 Timothy 2:3-4
