How do I trust God when…?

How do you trust God when you prayed and prayed and He did not answer your prayer? Many who have survived childhood sexual abuse ask this question.

According to the National Association of Adult survivors of child abuse, there are more than 42 million survivors of child sexual abuse in America; 1 in 3 girls; and, 1 in 5 boys will be sexually abused before age 18.

How do you respond to their cries? Trust is broken down. Those that were suppose to protect them did not and the one they prayed to did not stop it. How do you respond? God calls us to show them who He is through us. We are to reflect Christ. We need to show them He is faithful; so we need to be faithful and He is loving; we need to be loving. Words mean little to a heart that is torn.

“Imitate God, therefore, in everything you do, because you are his dear children.  Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.” Ephesians 5:1-2

“And he who sees Me sees Him who sent Me.” John 12:45.
