The Bible is very clear, there is a Heaven and Hell. Do you know where you are going?
“But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” Revelation 21:8 KJV
Lets take a look at this list:
- Fearful – Christians who through cowardice and lack of faith give way under persecutions and fall away
- Unbelieving – Unbelief is an evil heart, departing from God (Hebrews 3:12). Unbelief and a hardened heart go hand and hand.
- abominable – defiled, stink. Abominable is used one other place in scripture, when speaking of adultery.
- murderers – A murder is self explanatory, right?. What about abortion? Isn’t that murder of an innocent child. Jesus said that murder begins in the heart (Mathew 5:21-22).
- whoremongers – fornicators (today’s language…those living together) and one who prostitutes his body
- sorcerers (pharmakeus) – one who prepares or uses magical remedies.
- Idolaters – worshiper of any thing or god that is not God
- liars – I think we know what a liar is. When is the last time you told a lie or a little white lie (no such thing), a lie is a lie.
If you fall in any of these categories, then repent. Ask the Lord to forgive you and turn your life around.
“So rend your heart, and not your garments; Return to the Lord your God, For He is gracious and merciful, Slow to anger, and of great kindness; And He relents from doing harm. Who knows if He will turn and relent, And leave a blessing behind Him—” Joel 2:13-14
