“…The Lord is risen…” Luke 24:34

We have life because He died…..we overcome because He lives.

Job was raised up through the suffering he experienced. God doesn’t guarantee we will have a life without suffering. He does guarantee that through it all, He will be with us. 

We see the agony and turmoil grief can bring. Job a blameless and righteous man was afflicted to bring glory to God. Through all Job experienced, he was raised up and honored by God. God demanded Jobs friends bring sacrifices to Job. Sacrifices were always brought to the high priests.

Jesus was raised up from a lowly state… Jesus is the High Priest, sacrificed lamb, sin bearer. 
He laid down His life for all to see the Glory of His father. 

“Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has ascended into heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess.  For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.  Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” Hebrews 4:14-16
