You may have heard of human trafficking, sex trafficking, but how about spiritual trafficking. The devil comes to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10). He wants to take your spiritual life. The best way he can accomplish this is to traffic you spiritually. What do I mean by this? Let’s look at Jeremiah 5:30-31
“An astonishing and horrible thing Has been committed in the land: The prophets prophesy falsely, And the priests rule by their own power; And My people love to have it so. But what will you do in the end?” Jeremiah 5:30-31
Satan wants to deceive believers so he can use your spiritual life that has wandered to satisfy someone else’s lusts. We see this in false prophets, false teachers, and pastors preaching out of their flesh. “Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons,” 1 Tim 4:1
How do we combat spiritual trafficking? “Let no one deceive you by any means;” 2 These 2:3
“I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them. For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the naive.” Romans 16:17-18
“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world.” 1 John 4:1
Align everything with God’s word, the truth.
