“But know that the LORD has set apart for Himself him who is godly; The LORD will hear when I call to Him.” Psalm 4:3

What does it mean to be set apart? It means we are taken from one place and put in another. Jesus spoke of two kingdoms, God’s kingdom and Satans. We cannot reside in both; it is one or the other. 

Jesus shed His blood so that the barrier that separated us from God was torn down. Our sins are forgiven. Notice Psalm 4:3 says that God has set us apart. It is not of our own doing. Our job is to be godly, to reflect Christ in all we do and say. When we do this, He hears when we call to Him.
