Naughty or nice? I know many of you are probably thinking some of your acquaintances, neighbours, family members, co-workers, or leaders should get coal this Christmas. Before these thoughts go any further, what does scripture say…..

“Judge not, that you be not judged. “For with what judgement you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.” Mathew 7:1-2.

Yet in John 7:24 it says, “Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.”

So, on one hand, I am to not to judge and on the other I am to judge with righteous judgement. So which is it?

We are to do both. We are not to judge with a hypocritical spirit, but we are to judge with righteousness. We are to inspect the fruit of the person.
