This past weekend I pulled out all the Christmas decorations, and I found an old Snowman that is about three feet tall, wearing clothes and carrying a sign that says welcome. I thought this would be nice to put on my front porch. However, my dachshund thought differently. When I let my dog outside, he started growling at Mr Snowman and wanted to attack it. He had fear; he thought the snowman was a person; there was false evidence appearing real (FEAR).
Fear is an emotion and has appeared to have gripped our nation.
So how do we overcome fear? Fear of getting sick, fear of dying, fear of getting others sick, fear of not living, etc.….
First of all, you must trust God that He will protect you. Proclaim, “I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” As you proclaim that God is your refuge, your heart will start believing.
Remember, Faith comes by hearing (Romans 10:17).
Second, keep your eyes on Jesus. When we take our focus off the Lord, everything gets distorted.
“Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you. Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways. Do not turn to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil.” Proverbs 4:25-27
