For many the thought of confessing their sins brings fear. After all who wants to tell someone what bad thing they did. Before you confide in a priest or a friend. Let’s look at what sin is and is not.

“All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.” 1 John 5:17

Temptation is not sin.

“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” 1 Cor 10:13

Temptation we are delivered from and sin we are forgiven when we repent.

“forgive us our debts” and “lead us not into temptation” (Matt. 6:12-13).

Pray and ask that your sins be forgiven, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9
