“Behold, You desire truth in the inward parts, And in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom.” Psalm 51:6

God desires faithfulness and truth. King David had sinned (committed adultery and murder) and he was confronted with the truth (2 Samuel 12). Nothing is hidden from God,”Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.” Hebrews 4:13

So why are you hiding? My mom used to say to us kids. “If you do wrong and don’t come to me, it will be much worse than if you confess what you have done.” We were always mindful to tell on ourselves. “He that covers his sins shall not prosper: but whoever confesses and forsakes them shall have mercy.” Proverbs 28:13

Acts 3:19 says, “Repent you therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.”
