As we look back on stories that our grandparents have told us, we have cause to laugh and learn. I remember one such story where my grandmother drove up the ramp of Interstate highway I-95 and was going the wrong way.
How do we know if we are going the wrong direction? In my grandmother’s case the cars were coming at her was a clear message.
However, sometimes it is not so clear. We could be going the wrong direction if we are going along, to get along. Remember Jesus had great opposition, “The Pharisees and the teachers of the law were looking for a reason to accuse Jesus, so they watched him closely to see if he would heal on the Sabbath.” Luke 6:7.
What did Jesus do? He relied on the will of His Father to show Him the direction He should go.
“For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me.” John 6:38
We can stay on the right path by doing the will of God, “But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.” James 1:22
