Addictions come in many forms: shopping, eating, cleaning, phone usage, pornography, drugs, tv, etc. Addictions cannot be controlled, they control you. Addictions start in secret and it then becomes uncovered. Satan uncovers to accuse you to bring shame and guilt. The truth (Jesus) will set you free.

“For My people have committed two evils: They have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters, and hewn themselves cisterns—broken cisterns that can hold no water.” Jeremiah 2:13

all excess is rooted in dissatisfaction of self. Trying to bring comfort to ourselves. Hope is one sincere confession away. Lord, please forgive me for self-medicating. You are enough for me, you are all I need.
