I was fortunate enough to have a mother that was constantly encouraging my brother and I. Many, however, have not heard any words of encouragement or affirmation. As a result, feel unworthy or as some say worthless. God says

“…you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.” 1 Peter 2:9 (NIV)

“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!” 1 John 3:1 (NIV)

No matter what anyone tells you, you proclaim God’s word who you are, “I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.” Psalm 139:14 (NKJV)
