We didn’t like this word as a child and many today try to skirt it as an adult.

Oswald Chambers said, “If you don’t obey the light, it will turn to darkness.”

Is the Lord telling you to do something? You know that still small voice that says do this and not that or you need to forgive that person. There are blessings that come with obeying the Lord.

“Behold, I set before you today a blessing and a curse:  the blessing, if you obey the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you today; and the curse, if you do not obey the commandments of the Lord your God, but turn aside from the way which I command you today, to go after other gods which you have not known.” Deut 11:26-28

Don’t let the light go out. Walk in all His ways.
